How to Use the Mobile App Time Tracker Part 2

USING THE TIME TRACKER

PART 2: TRACKING YOUR HOURS

TIME TRACKER TUTORIAL: PART 2

When you see this icon, click for a visual tutorial.

ENTERING & CORRECTING TOTAL HOURS

The first time you click on the Time Tracker, you’ll be asked to create an account where you have the option to enter your Current Total Hours.   Entering your Current Total Hours will allow the Time Tracker to begin calculating your hours for the month from that point on.

If you did NOT enter Total Hours during account sign-up:

  1. Tap the Settings Wheel at the top of the Time Tracker screen.
  2. Enter your Total Hours, then hit DONE.

If you need to CORRECT the Total Hours you entered during account sign-up:

  1. Tap the Settings Wheel at the top of the Time Tracker screen.
  2. Enter your Total Hours, then hit DONE.

It’s important to remember that whatever number you enter here will apply to your Total Hours as of the day you downloaded the app, and re-calculate your total hours for the rest of the month from that point on.

ENTERING HOURS

Straight Time (ST), Overtime (OT) and Flop Hours

To enter your hours:

  1. Tap the box next to any of the hour categories – ST, OT or Flop – and a keyboard will appear.
  2. Enter your hours, and hit DONE.

Your Total Daily Hours will automatically calculate and your Total Hours for the month will update.

CHECKING IN ON AVERAGE HOURS

If you check-in on average hours:

  1. Tap the Yes/No button, to switch it to the Yes position
  2. Tap the Average Hours box to enter the hours that you checked in on, and hit DONE.

Your Total Hours will reset to the Average Hours you entered and calculate from that point on.

NOTES & REMARKS

If you have any notes you’d like to include for the day:

  1. Tap inside the “Remarks” box, and a keyboard will appear.
  2. Type your notes, and hit DONE.

DOUBLING UP / DOUBLING BACK

To enter work information and hours for a second shift:

  1. Tap the Doubling Up button
  2. Enter the work information and hours for your second shift, then hit the BACK button.

A checkmark will appear in the box next to the Doublng Up button and your Total Daily Hours and Total Hours will update to include the additional time.

REMEMBER TO SAVE!

Once you’ve entered your hours for the day, remember to hit the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen!

If you forget to his save, and click on any other button within the app, a pop-up will appear to remind you go back and Save your time for the day.

However, if you don’t save, and close the app by hitting the Home button on your phone – you may lose the information you just entered.  So always remember to Save!

VIEW BY DAY, WEEK & MONTH

To view your time entries you have several different options.  At the top of the time tracker, you’ll see three tabs: Day, Week and Month.

View by Day

Day is the screen where you enter all your daily work information and time.

View by Week

Tap the Week tab, to view the current week – Friday to Saturday – broken out by day, including your hours worked, Total Daily Hours, a running tally of your Total Hours and your Pay Estimate.

You can scroll to view a different week by tapping Previous or Next.

View by Month

Tap the Month tab to  view of the current month, broken out by week including your Total Daily Hours for the week and a running tally of your Total Hours.

We understand how important it is to always be on the correct hours, so we’ve made sure that your total hours will transition from month to month accurately and automatically. You can rest assured that you’ll always be on the correct hours.
